My name is Kat, short for Katrine, and I’m born and raised in Oslo. As a child I was busy photographing strangers’ dogs and blurry flowers by the roadside that my parents very generously had developed.
When I declared in my teens that I wanted to become a photographer I was “sent” on a 1-year photography course to “get it out” - but I couldn’t get enough!
The road went on to London College of Fashion and a BA in Fashion Photography before moving home to Oslo, which I missed.

Coming from fashion may sound put-on but it’s always the real stuff I’m looking for, what’s already there. I just help it to the surface. A wry smile, sunlight filtered through a veil, a stylish guest.
I have several published fashion editorials and still work in that segment a few times a year. It keeps my creative muscles strong and inspires my work with weddings.
